Dr. Divakaran joined KAUST as a postdoctoral research fellow in October 2023. He received his B.S. degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from Gujarat Technological University in 2012, and an M.Tech in Nanotechnology from Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, and in 2020 received his PhD in Materials Physics and Chemistry from Fujian Institute of Research on Structure of Matter, Chinese Academy of Science, China.
He is the recipient of the CAS TWAS Fellowship award (the highest fellowship in China). Prior to PhD, he has the research experience of working in world-class research laboratories at the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). Post-PhD, he worked as a Research Associate at CIPET, SARP-LARPM, India, while handling Government of India projects based on additive manufacturing in next-generation electronic devices. Dr. Nidhin boasts an impressive track record in the realm of polymer nanocomposites, 3D printing, and cutting-edge energy storage solutions, demonstrating expertise that sets a commendable standard in these fields. He has published several high-impact articles in peer-reviewed international journals.
