Mohammed Faiz Ur Rahman is a Research Technician at the Mechanics of Composites for Energy and Mobility (MCEM) Laboratory at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). He holds a Master’s degree in Materials Technology from the National Institute of Technology Warangal, India, and a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University, India.
His expertise includes Nondestructive testing, Phased Array ultrasonic testing, Composite materials, finite element analysis, mechanical testing and material characterization. Before joining KAUST, he worked as a lecturer at Saudi Arabia, where he taught NDT techniques like Ultrasonic testing, Radiographic testing, Welding technology etc. He also has industry experience as a QC Welding Inspector for Saudi Aramco projects and as a Design Engineer at DRDL, India.
Mr. Rahman holds certifications such as CSWIP 3.1 and ASNT Level II (UT, RT, PT, MT) and has hands-on experience with structural analysis, welding inspection, and advanced NDT techniques.
