Dr. Hassan Ejaz is a postdoctoral research fellow currently working at the MCEM research group at KAUST. Holding a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, National University of Science and Technology, Pakistan. He has specialized in investigating the effects of nanomodified adhesives on the strength properties of adhesive lap shear joints. He is an active researcher in the domain of strength improvement of adhesive joints using geometric and non-geometric solutions and environmental impact on strength degradation. His expertise also extends to areas such as optimal surface treatment for adhesive bonding applications for aluminum alloys and fiber-reinforced composites. He has a solid foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, including proficiency in mechanical testing and characterization techniques.
