Our team members attended 20th European Conference in Composite Materials (ECCM) in Lausanne

The 20th European conference on Composite Materials (ECCM20) was held in Lausanne, Switzerland on June 26-30, 2022. This is a big conference attended by Professor Gilles Lubineau and his lab members, Ran Tao, Xiaole Li, Abraham (Bram) Lagerweij, Hussein Nessr, Ahmed Wagih, Wael Badeghaish and Ping Hu.

This well-known conference series is the European forum for knowledge exchange on the recent accomplishments and the future trends in Composite Materials. ECCM has consistently drawn interest and participants from around the world. It is a meeting point for composite specialists and newcomers alike and has long been a venue where researchers and industrialists meet and establish long-lasting collaborations.

The Conference Theme this year is “Composites meet Sustainability”. All usual topics of ECCM related to composite materials was present; however, sustainability aspects was highlighted with specific lectures, roundtables and sessions on a range of topics, from bio-based composites to energy efficiency in materials production and use phases, as well as end-of-life scenarios and recycling.
