New identification strategies have to be developed on order to perform
the identification quickly and at very-low cost. A popular class of
approaches relies on full-field measurement obtained through digital
image correlation. We propose here a Global Equilibrium Approach. It is
based on the virtual field method in case specific virtual fields are
used. It can also be seen as a generalization of the equilibrium gap
method. This approach is easy to implement and we prove it provides
better or comparable results to the constitutive equation gap method
that is known to be a very accurate reference.
