Research Interests

My work focuses on the behavior of composite materials designed for industrial applications involving multiphysics coupling. My activities are at the interface of several engineering fields aiming at understanding the complexity of the degradation phenomena of composites by developing physically based models.

For nuclear applications, I have conducted an original study on the evolution of thermal properties of Ceramic Matrix Composites submitted to mechanical loading. I have developed a multi-scale approach using several experimental techniques and modelling tools.

For aeronautical applications, I am currently in charge of an experimental study of the hygrothermal aging of an advanced composite designed for the lightning strike protection of aircraft fuselage.

I'm investigating the effect of moisture and thermal cycling on the epoxy matrix properties as well as on the metal-reinforced polymer.
